Quinoa is one of my favorite things to have for breakfast. I use it as my substitute for hot oatmeal, though it is still a grain. Sometimes I’ll add chopped apples or other fruit, such as blueberries. Using the method described in this post, I added cinnamon and a pinch of ground cardamom as the quinoa cooked.
For each individual serving, add a little more cinnamon and cardamom to taste, then drizzle with honey or agave nectar and slivered almonds.
Makes 3-4 servings.
