Making memories

photoRecently my sister and I took a whirlwind road trip: 26 hours driving, over three states, two time zones, in less than three days.

But it was totally worth it.
beautiful theatreWe went to visit a friend we haven’t seen since college. She’s been halfway across the world for the last two years, though we’ve stayed in touch through Facebook, Skype, and notes. Her parents invited us to stay with them, and we spent our time sleeping in, shopping, meeting new people, and of course, just hanging out, talking, and catching up on each others’ lives. It was great.

Whether you are on the road or not this holiday season, maybe seeing family or friends, it might be useful to have some go-to recipes for “travel food.” I also use a lot of these for snacks at my work, as I am driving often for my job. Even during the holidays, you can have snack food that is healthy!

Granola balls from Daily Bites
Grain Free Granola Bars from The Seasonal Family
Flourless Mint Chocolate Brownies from A Baking Life
Pumpkin Pie Muffins from Elana’s Pantry
Banana Bread
Apple Cinnamon Muffins
Ginger Molasses Cookies
Chai Breakfast Cookies
Runners Bars
